Dog Hairs Flea and Parasite Policy

If fleas are found on your dog during the grooming process, we will call to inform you and discuss subsequent plans. These will depend on the type of flea treatment you use (if any) and when treatment last occurred. Bathing removes most fleas and flea dirt on your dog but, if applicable, we can offer an additional flea shampoo treatment to kill any live fleas present on your dog.

To ensure no cross contamination occurs with other dogs visiting the salon that day, additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures will need to be followed, in addition to our usual end of day routine.

To cover the additional time and materials required, a flea fee will be charged and you will be notified of the amount when we discuss a treatment plan.

If ticks are found on your dog during the grooming process, they will be removed and the area treated with antiseptic. You will be notified upon collection of your dog.
